Veterans Educational Benefits

3/16/2020 Winthrop University offices are closed due to COVID-19.  If you have an issue that requires immediate assistance, please email houstona@winthrop.edu and I will respond as soon as I am able.

The Veteran Benefits Coordinator is available to assist students in using their veteran educational benefits at Winthrop University. The coordinator provides assistance in matters relating to applying for benefits, certification of enrollment, and transmitting necessary enrollment information to the VA regional office. The office serves as a liaison between students and the Department of Veteran Affairs in Muskogee, OK and/or Columbia, SC.

For VA Educational Benefits, eligibility is determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs, not by Winthrop University. For information on benefit eligibility, please visit http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/.
