Student Reporting for COVID-19

  • All enrolled students must report a positive test result to Health Services by emailing and include their name, CWID, and current phone number. Health Services will contact students directly.
  • If a student discloses to faculty and staff that they have tested positive, faculty and staff should report that information to and include the student’s name, CWID,WU email, and current phone number if known. Health Services will contact the student directly but will not respond to the faculty or staff member what steps we are taking.
  • Once verified, Health Services will report student dates for isolation or quarantine to the Dean of Students Office for absence notification. A positive COVID-19 test is a reportable condition to SCDHEC. DHEC will contact positive cases for contact tracing and will notify close contacts of their need to quarantine. A close contact is defined as 15 minutes or longer within 6 feet of a positive case.
