Readmission: To apply for readmission as an undergraduate student after an absence of less than 5 years, email your Application for Undergraduate Readmission to If you are an undergraduate student who has been away for longer than 5 years, contact the Admissions office. Graduate readmission is handled by the Graduate School. 

Registration: Summer registration is underway. Advising is not required prior to registration for summer. Registration for Fall semester begins Wednesday, April 8. For information about class registration, check out our Registration Procedures and Registration Calendar. For questions, email

Transcript Requests: The best way to request a Winthrop transcript while we are working remotely is to request an electronic transcript through Parchment. Electronic transcripts through Parchment are considered official. For more information, visit our Transcript Requests page.

Mission Statement

The Office of Records and Registration upholds the Winthrop Plan by providing programs and services that support students and the faculty and staff who serve them. We do this by

  • Interpreting and communicating university academic policies to assist students in their growth and success;
  • Providing exceptional service in areas including, but not limited to, Academic Space and Course Scheduling, Cultural Events, Degree Audits, Graduation,  Registration, Transcripts, and Benefits for Veterans and their dependents;
  • Ensuring institutional and student records are kept secure and confidential; and
  • Utilizing effective technology to ensure efficiency in student and administrative  services.
