New Student Checklist

These checklists were created to help identify tasks that should be completed prior to your enrollment at Winthrop. To make your transition to Winthrop as smooth as possible, we highly encourage you to follow all three checklists and complete each task.

  • Register for Orientation.
  • Create your Winthrop e-mail account.

In your account, you will be able to complete the required forms, enter your immunization dates, and upload your immunization documentation. Paper forms will NOT be accepted - all documents must be uploaded into the Portal. If you do not complete the requirements before the start of classes; you will be at risk of being charged a non-refundable $50 non-compliance fee. Here is a step-by-step guide to the immunization requirement process. If you have further questions, please contact the Center for Student Wellness (formerly Health & Counseling Services) directly.

  • Contact your personal admissions counselor if you have questions about enrolling at Winthrop, transcripts, or transfer credits (including IB/AP/Dual Enrollment credits.)
  • Review the What to Bring list to prepare for Orientation.
