Health Services no longer has a pharmacy on site, however attached is a list of local pharmacies (pdf - 522.53 KB) in close proximity to campus.

Allergy Injections

Students previously prescribed allergy immunotherapy by a physician or specialist may store and receive injections at Health Services. Physician's instructions and orders, as indicated on the Allergy Immunotherapy Injections Requirements Form, and the Allergy Physician Release Letter signed by the allergist must be supplied with the serum for the student to receive injections at Health Services. The first dose of allergy immunotherapy must be given at the allergist's office.
Allergy injections can begin when consent from the allergist is received and after the Nurse Practitioner reviews the chart.  Students must agree to follow clinic protocol following injections, meaning theywill remain in Health Services for thirty minutes for observation. A minimal fee per injection is billed to the student's account as "Health Services" on the day of service.

Allery Injections are given by appointment
Tuesdays    8:40 AM-11:20 AM and 1:40 PM- 3:40 PM
Fridays 9:40 AM-11:40 AM  and 1:40 PM- 2:20 PM
During Fall and Spring Semesters

Some routine diagnostic laboratory tests can be performed at Health Services for a discounted fee. Other ordered tests may be obtained on site and sent to an outside lab with results in 24 to 48 hours.

Sexual Health Counseling & STI Testing

Students can speak with a healthcare professional about issues related to sexual health, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and undergo confidential testing in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Confidential test results, and your conversation with your provider, will become part of your medical record and will remain on file only within Health Services. This information cannot be shared with anyone, including your family, friends, faculty or staff at Winthrop unless you sign the Authorization for Disclosure of Protected Health Information Form (pdf - 29.98 KB).
