Vice President's Welcome
to the Division of Human Resources, Employee Diversity, and Wellness. We
are a newly created division as of October 1, 2015. Our goal is to provide the best possible services, programs, and support to Winthrop employees. The faculty
and staff are the University’s #1 asset and our #1 priority. As we begin
to shape the future of this new division, we are excited about the opportunity
to listen, learn, and respond by providing excellent customer service to meet
the needs of all employees. Please check back periodically for updates
and be on the lookout for announcements about how this new division can better
serve potential, new, and current employees. Feel free to send your

The General Assembly has approved a one-time lump sum bonus of $800 for eligible employees in full-time equivalent (FTE) positions. In order to be eligible to receive the bonus, you must have continuous state service of at least six months (prior to July 1, 2015) and earn less than $100,000 per year. Eligible employees should expect to receive their bonus on October 16, 2015.
- Benefits Open Enrollment for the 2016 calendar year takes place during the month
of October. Employees are encouraged to attend one of the information
sessions to learn about the benefits options available during open enrollment. Be on the lookout for the Benefits Advantage publication to be delivered
to benefits eligible employees through campus mail.
